My current readings.. and a tazkirah for me.

I finished reading this inspiring book last week.. very touching and makes me realised life is short and passing you by rapidly.. treasure and value your life with your love ones..

and because i'm so into finding inspiration.. yesterday while waiting for hubby to finish his work, i bought another books..
I managed to read 3/4 of the books while sitting on a chair at the concourse OU untill 10.30pm (yes, everybody rushing home and all the shop has closed!)
maybe today i'll finish reading it and shall then continue with another book which i bought yesterday also :P

Btw, just a note of short tazkirah for me..

-INSAN-
insan-human
root word for insan is ‘nisyan,’ which means ‘forgetfulness.

‘we have created man forgetful,’ ‘man is ever forgetful.’

We are just human and human makes mistakes (al insan la yahnil hata’i wal nisyan)
'O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of God: for God forgives all sins (except shirk): for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.' Az-Zumar' (39:53)

If Allah can be so forgiving why us the mortals can't? Are we in the state more hollier than Him that makes us refuse to grant forgiveness? Waliyazubillah

"Ultimately, our disobedience to – and distance from – Allah arises from this state of forgetfulness. We forget why we have been placed on this earth – which is to attain ma`rifa of Allah; we forget that we are always in his presence and under his gaze, and so do not feel ashamed to be sinful, either in secret or in person, whether by word, action or quality. We forget, too, that He is the ‘Knower of the secrets of every heart,’ and pass the vast majority of our lives in heedlessness. The cure to this basic state of the human experience is by struggling against the lowly human nature (nafs al-ammara bi’ su) by opposing heedlessness with its opposite – continuous remembrance (zikr). "

"Surah At-teen:

‘verily, we created mankind (insan) in the best of original forms’
the primary root of the word insan – uns, or intimate communion.

Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low
the second root of insan – nisyan, or forgetfulness, which is the worst state of creation.

Except for those who believe and do good works
by struggling against their souls with constant remembrance of Allah (dhikr) with tongue, action and state, which is through sharia and tariqa.

For them shall be a reward unfailing...
which is a return to the state of uns that comes with direct experience of the divine presence in this world (ma`rifa billah fi ad-dunya)."
Forgiveness is not something we do for other people. We do it for ourselves to get well and move on.

note: all in "quotes" i quote from my readings
note2: Through my reading, i truely missed my assignments back in IIU which requires us to relate whatever statement or answer in exam that we make, must be proven with a dalil-a hadith/Quranic verses. From there I realised that all aspects of human life the answer is written in the beautiful book gift of Allah - Al-Quran. So, it is our duty as a servant of Allah to get close to Him by reading his 'book' which will guide us through thick and thin, happy and sorrow..

May Allah give us the taufiq to realise our reality and to travel from heedlessness to remembrance, from absence to presence, and from forgetfulness to faithfulness..insyaallah. Amin.
